The Role
Hartford Hospital is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team in Hartford, CT. This is a flexible role that bounces between our mammography van and the main Hartford Hospital campus. New hires are eligible for a $20,000 bonus ; that's real money for doing work that matters.
What You'll Do
You'll operate digital (and analog) mammography equipment to help physicians diagnose and treat patients. That means positioning patients, preparing contrast media, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This isn't a job where you just push buttons ; you need a solid understanding of breast anatomy and physiology. You'll also handle needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies using a wide range of products.
What You Need
- Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program
- ARRT credential as a Radiology Technologist
- A Connecticut Radiographer license
- Current continuing education units specific to mammography
- Knowledge of products used for needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies
