About This Role
What you'd actually be doing
This isn't a sit at a-desk role. You'd manage a team of Field Service Technicians and Collectors in Hartford, CT, handling the daily troubleshooting, repair, collection, and maintenance of company owned, rented, and leased equipment. You're also the main point of contact when customers have questions or requests.
Concretely, that means you'd monitor weekly and daily collection routes to make sure coverage is solid. You'd do the same for service routes ; managing the caseload, hitting your SLAs, and keeping high value customers happy. You'd review reports, analyze performance data, and make sure your team finishes their safety trainings and follows all the standards and regulations. And yeah, sometimes you'd be out in the field doing collections work yourself when it's needed.
Customer support and client relationships
You'd keep client relationships strong through in person visits, emails, and phone calls. Regularly visiting property managers to understand what they need and solve their problems ; that's part of how you represent the CSC brand. You'd handle customer service inquiries, complaints, and requests as they come up. And you'd keep an eye on low net locations to help improve revenue there.
Inventory and assets
You'd manage and secure company assets: parts, inventory, vehicles, and machines at various locations. Fleet maintenance falls under you too ; making sure there's always a ready supply of vehicles for service. You'd monitor locations that get vandalized or have high service call volumes and work to improve performance. Any billable service work or warranty/guarantee parts get submitted on time. You'd prepare billing to customers for parts when applicable and reconcile invoices for parts.
Systems and technology
You'd use and understand various systems, tools, and applications to manage work effectively. And you'd be comfortable learning new technologies to drive efficiency and accountability. This isn't a role where you can avoid the software side ; you've got to embrace it.
Management responsibilities
You'd recruit, hire, and onboard new team members. Delegate duties and schedule work to hit deadlines. Achieve annual financial objectives and monitor department budgets. You'd support employee development and provide training. Set goals for the team and for individual employees. Manage performance to meet daily, weekly, and monthly SLAs. You'd have the authority to terminate or recommend termination. You'd implement and communicate company practices, policies, and procedures. Train associates and onboard new hires. And other duties as assigned.
