Vascular RN

Cone Health·Greensboro, NC

About This Role

The Gig

This is a Vascular RN position at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. You'd be taking care of patients on a specific unit, and it's a real job for a real nurse who wants to make their own clinical decisions. No two days are alike, but every day is about using your nursing knowledge to get people better.

You'll work under general supervision, but you're expected to own your practice. That means coordinating patient care with other departments, following the nursing process, and working with the whole care team. You're not just a task doer here. You're the person who figures out what's needed and makes sure it happens.

What you'll actually do

  • Review each patient's needs and condition to deliver nursing care on the unit. It's direct care that has to be right.
  • Analyze patient information: medical history, diagnostic results, current condition. Use all of that to build an individualized nursing care plan.
  • Handle the nursing processes you'd expect: medication administration, treatments, and anything else that provides comprehensive care.
  • Reconcile medical records. Accuracy matters for compliance and safety.
  • Evaluate how patients respond to interventions. If goals aren't being met, you identify what else is needed and adjust.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team for effective care planning. You won't work in a silo.
  • Other duties as assigned. That's standard in hospital nursing.

What you need

  • An Associate Degree in Nursing (required). A Bachelor's is preferred, but not required to start.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (required). That's non negotiable.
  • 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations (preferred). So if you've already got specialty experience, that's a plus.
  • A current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
  • BLS (CPR) from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

Benefits and pay

Cone Health offers a full benefits package, but you'll want to confirm the details during your interview. Expect medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus retirement plans and paid time off. Pay is based on experience and shift differentials ; that's something you'll discuss directly with the recruiter or hiring manager.
