The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $112,000 per year.
What you'll work on
- Managing every phase of litigation from investigation through trial
- Drafting pleadings, discovery materials, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal correspondence
- Conducting case analysis and research for trial preparation
- Representing clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation sessions
- Developing and executing litigation strategy at every stage of a case
- Advising clients on various legal matters
- Collaborating with a team of legal professionals to get the best outcomes for clients
What you need to bring
- A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in North Carolina (NC)
- Motion practice experience ; this isn't optional; it's core to the job
- Trial assistance or second chair experience at trials
- Strong analytical chops for solving complex problems
- The ability to manage multiple cases without dropping the ball on any one of them
- Solid negotiation skills when conflicts come up (they will)
- A high level of professionalism and ethical standards ; that's non negotiable here
- A working knowledge of legal research tools and software
- The ability to work independently but also as part of a tight knit team when needed
