Fire Sprinkler Technician

What you'll be doing here

You'll install, program, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm and Access Control Systems at customer sites in Greensboro, NC. That includes Simplex and Kidde products, plus other related building system stuff. You're not just showing up; you're making sure everything runs right.

You'll read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics ; the whole stack of documentation. And you'll coordinate with other trades on site to keep installation time efficient. Some days you're climbing ladders or scaffolding up to 40 feet. Other days you're inside ducts or crawl spaces or above ceilings with hand tools, a multi meter, digital analyzers ; whatever the job demands.

• Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours.
• Work with the project manager to sort out discrepancies and coordination problems that slow things down.
• Handle multiple projects at once without dropping details.
• Attend all required site meetings.
• Train customers on how their equipment works ; run simulations, answer their questions.
• Keep customer service high by talking regularly with district staff and customers.
• Complete project paperwork when it's due.
• Follow every OSHA and SimplexGrinnell safety policy out there.
• Sit on an on call rotation schedule as needed.
• Tackle any other duties that come up.

What you need to bring

The basics aren't optional. You've got experience reading blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals. You know your way around hand tools, test equipment like a multi meter or digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
