The Gig
Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville is looking for an experienced GM technician. This isn't some fly by night operation. You'd be working at a shop that turns over 800 orders a month, with multiple bays and an A/C shop. They're part of Parks Automotive Group, which is in a serious growth phase across multiple states.
The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. That's it. No Saturdays. No Sundays. Ever.
What You'll Actually Do
- Examine customer vehicles and figure out what needs fixing
- Keep your CEI at or above company standards
- Estimate repair costs, then do the repairs and maintenance
- Document every service you perform
- Work efficiently while following dealership and manufacturer guidelines
- Request the parts you need to get the job done
- Follow all Safeguards rules and regulations
- Provide professional customer service that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
- Keep the shop and work area clean, neat, and safe
What You Need
- At least 2 years of GM experience is required
- GM certification is a plus, but not required
- Experience with transmission work, heavy line repairs, and engine drivability ; that's where they pay top dollar
- You need to be able to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Proven knowledge of how vehicles work mechanically
- Professional appearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid in state driver's license with a clean driving record
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
- Must pass pre employment testing: background checks, MVR, and drug screen
Pay and Perks
- Up to $50 per hour based on your GM training and experience
