Sales Representative

LESLIES POOLMART INC·Glendale, AZ

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. I've been placing people at Leslie's for years, and they run a tight ship. This isn't just a cashier gig; you're the face of the store in Glendale, AZ, helping folks keep their pools sparkling. The manager leans on you to keep things smooth.

What you'd be doing

You're the first person customers see. Your main job is to figure out what they need for their pool or spa and get them the right stuff.

  • Run the register, handle sales, and make sure transactions are spot on.
  • The store needs to look good and feel inviting. That's on you.
  • Helping with stocking shelves and keeping track of inventory is part of the deal.
  • You'll have opening and closing shifts. That includes getting the bank deposit ready.

What you need to bring

They're pretty clear on the must haves. Here's the list.

  • You've got to be at least 18.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or you're still in school working toward it.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable way to get to work.
  • At least six months to a year of customer service under your belt.
  • The training isn't optional; you need to finish it all within two months of starting.
  • You'll be lifting boxes of pool salt and chemicals, so you need to be able to handle 50 pounds.
  • Good with people and comfortable using a computer.

There's also this succession program thing. It means they're looking for someone who can grow here, maybe into a management role down the line. You'll need to show you fit that path.

The details

The pay starts between $15.85 and $17.85 an hour. Where you land in that range depends on your school history, past jobs, skills, and what's fair compared to other team members.

A bit about Leslie's
