The Role

BoldAge PACE is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in Fresno, CA. This isn't a "sit back and watch" kind of job. You'll work directly with seniors, helping them stay independent and active at home. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll implement treatment plans, track participant progress, and adjust interventions when needed. You'll also take part in patient conferences, agency training sessions, and quality improvement projects.

Because this center serves a Hmong speaking community, we're looking for someone who is bilingual in Hmong. It's not just about language ; it's about trust and connection with the people you serve.

What You'll Actually Do

• Carry out physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a supervising PT
• Guide participants through exercises, mobility training, and modalities like heat, cold, or electrical stimulation
• Track how each person responds to treatment; report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist
• Teach people how to use assistive devices ; walkers, canes, that sort of thing
• Educate participants and their families on home exercise routines, safety practices, injury prevention, and post treatment care
• Document every session carefully: what happened, what changed, any adverse reactions
• Keep therapy equipment clean and organized; make sure the treatment space is safe
• Help with participant transfers when needed
• Sit in on staff meetings and contribute ideas for better care delivery
• Mentor PTA students or interns as they come through the program
• Tackle discipline specific projects like chart audits or peer reviews
• Handle some scheduling tasks as they come up
• Work within your legal scope of practice always; follow ethical standards without exception
• Do other duties that pop up ; because in a place like this you pitch in where it counts
