Medical Biller/Coder

The Role

This isn't a desk jockey position. You're an experienced family law attorney with at least five years of focused work in matrimonial and family law. You live in the courtroom ; trials, hearings, contested motions, evidentiary proceedings ; that's your element. You'll handle contested divorces, custody disputes, support battles, property division, and enforcement or modification of judgments. High stakes and emotionally charged cases are part of the deal here.

What You'll Actually Do

• Lead every phase of litigation: drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement negotiations, court appearances, trials, and appellate work.
• Counsel clients on asset division, spousal maintenance, child support, custody and visitation rights, plus enforcement or modification of orders.
• Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, separation agreements, and post judgment amendments.
• Keep up with statutes, precedents, and changing trends in family law through regular legal research.
• Guide clients through difficult transitions with empathy but also clear headed pragmatism ; you manage expectations and keep them confident throughout the process.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff when it makes sense: oversight feedback training the whole package.
• Help grow the practice through business development client outreach and community involvement.

What You Need to Bring

• A Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) plus admission to the relevant state bar ; non negotiable.
• A minimum of five years practicing matrimonial or family law with a real litigation record behind you.
• Solid courtroom chops: you've done trials hearings contested motions evidentiary proceedings all of it.
• The ability to craft persuasive briefs motions written arguments that hold weight in front of a judge.
• Smooth negotiation skills paired with strong advocacy instincts ; you can handle both sides of the table.
• Emotional intelligence patience genuine client management skills especially when pressure is high.
• The confidence to work autonomously while also collaborating as part of a team when needed.
