About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this role. We're working with a healthcare group based in Denver that runs doctor's offices and surgery centers across the country. They've got a solid reputation for how they treat patients and how they support their own people.

They need someone to join their People & Culture team as a Business Partner. You'd be the main HR contact for their operations in Colorado and Arizona, which means you're the go to person for leaders out there. But it's not just regional work; you'd also have your hands on some big picture stuff for the whole company.

What you'd be doing

  • You're the primary P&C partner for the Western Region, covering Colorado and Arizona. You'll work directly with local leadership to build up their skills, improve how teams perform, and keep employees engaged so they stick around.
  • Leading company wide programs is a key part of this. That means overseeing rewards, recognition, and compensation strategies. You'll manage the annual merit increase process from start to finish.
  • You'll collaborate with the Vice President of P&C to improve and maintain the systems we use for compensation and tracking performance.
  • Figuring out where leaders need more training and then setting up programs to fill those gaps is on your list. You'll partner with senior operations and P&C leadership to design these initiatives.
  • When employee issues come up, you'll handle them; that includes conducting investigations and working with managers on resolutions. You'll also look at trends to suggest ways to prevent problems before they start.
  • This role has one direct report: a P&C Specialist. You'll be responsible for guiding them, mentoring them, and helping them develop in their career.
  • And of course, you'll pitch in on other People & Culture projects as they come up across the organization.

The background we need

A Bachelor's degree is required; in Human Resources, Business Administration, or something closely related.

You should have at least three years of experience in HR where you've been given more responsibility over time. We need someone who understands the whole employee lifecycle: dealing with relations between staff and management, recruiting, running performance reviews, benefits, compensation... all of it.

Experience in healthcare is a definite plus; it helps you understand the environment here from day one.

You've got to be comfortable with technology. We use various HRIS platforms daily, along with the standard Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel.

The practical details

The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 per year.

The schedule is hybrid; you won't be in an office five days a week. It’s based in Fresno, CA (Colorado), supporting that Western Region we talked about.

A few reasons to consider it

  • The culture here gets mentioned a lot; people seem to genuinely like working together.
  • Leadership has a reputation for being supportive and actually investing in their employees' success.
  • There's a 401(k) plan with a 4% company match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance are provided.
  • You get paid time off plus paid holidays each year.
  • A handful of other perks are included too: an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), access to free financial planning services, wellness benefits, and discounts at gyms.
