Accountant

The Work

You'd be the main person for financial reporting and analysis here. That means putting together the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports under GAAP. You'll run account reconciliations, build budgets and forecasts, and then dig into what causes any variances.

A big part of the job is making those numbers make sense to everyone else. You'll create presentations and provide strategic input to senior management on things like new projects or potential acquisitions. They also need you to conduct internal audits to make sure everything lines up with state and federal rules.

Beyond the day to day, you'll help shape how things are done. You'll develop and put new financial policies into practice, aiming to improve how the whole organization operates.

What You Need

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or something closely related.
• At least five years of experience in finance, with increasing responsibility over that time.
• You have to know GAAP inside and out. Deep experience with account reconciliation, budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing is non negotiable.
• They use QuickBooks; advanced knowledge of it is required. You should also have experience picking out accounting software and managing those vendor relationships.
• Your Excel skills need to be strong; we're talking advanced level.
• This isn't just about crunching numbers in a corner. You've got to explain complex financial concepts clearly to people who aren't finance experts.
• The environment demands solid problem solving skills and the ability to manage projects effectively under pressure.
