The Job

MSO Trinity Perinatal Special in Fort Worth, TX needs a Perinatal Ultrasound Tech who can handle the real complexity of high risk OB/GYN sonography. This isn't a general imaging role. You'll be working with complicated pregnancies, identifying fetal anomalies, and supporting patients who need specialized care. It's part of HCA Healthcare, so you've got the backing of a major system behind you.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds focused on OB/GYN for high risk patients
  • Evaluate fetal anomalies including CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, and umbilical cord growth disturbances
  • Scan maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries to identify gynecological issues like fibroids, thickened endometrium, and polyps
  • Run complicated twin and triplet scans as part of an in office multiple gestation service
  • Make preliminary diagnoses of fetal and gynecological disorders based on what you see
  • Operate different ultrasound machines competently and keep up with new technology as it comes along
  • Maintain detailed logging records covering past medical history, surgical history, obstetric history, and genetic history
  • Prepare patients for Level I and II ultrasounds, amniocentesis procedures (including lung maturity), PUBS, amino reduction treatments external cephalic versions and GYN ultrasounds
  • Use independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles to assess fetal well being; alert physicians immediately if something looks dangerous
  • Diagnose fetal weight problems from biometry measurements; spot multiple anomalies then report them directly to the physician
  • Keep professional relationships with staff from other obstetric offices and hospital personnel
  • Tackle other duties as they come up because that's how real clinics work

What You Need to Bring

  • Education: An Associate degree in Ultrasound is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: At least one year of specialty ultrasound experience under your belt.
