About This Role
What you’ll actually do here
This isn’t some vague sysadmin role. You’ll be inside the guts of American Airlines Credit Union’s mortgage servicing systems ; the stuff that processes real estate payments, runs daily closeouts, and keeps member accounts straight. Here’s what the day to day looks like:
- Manage mortgage servicing systems that connect to core banking, origination platforms, and online banking
- Run daily, monthly, and end of day system closeout and processing
- Perform daily payment sweeps and reconcile the systems afterward
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual member statements, notifications, and year end tax statements
- Help maintain mortgage servicing policies and procedures
- Test and implement new system releases
- Act as the primary vendor contact for the mortgage servicing systems ; that means staying on top of new releases and figuring out what they’ll break or improve
- Coordinate troubleshooting requests from the mortgage servicing department
- Work with cross functional partners and vendors to make the whole process more efficient
- Manage the work out loan process
- Do QC monitoring to catch and correct quality issues
- Take on other duties as they come up
What you need to bring
You don’t need a degree to get your foot in the door ; just a High School diploma or GED. If you’ve got a Bachelor’s in Business or equivalent experience, that’ll help you stand out.
Other things that matter:
- 2 years in Financial Services with working knowledge of Mortgage Operations
- Experience managing systems and testing processes
- Background in real estate ; whether that’s training, underwriting, processing, or closing
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) from real work or education
- Know your way around loan origination or processing systems
- You can manage projects with short and long range goals
- You work well on your own, keep multiple things moving at once, and don’t drop balls
- Strong analytical and decision making skills ; not just talk
- You produce good work under deadlines and pressure
- Reliable attendance and performance
- Acceptable credit history (they’ll check)
- You must pass American Airlines pre hire compliance checks
