About This Role
Alright, let's get straight to it. We're helping a hospital in Ohio find an Emergency Medicine Physician for a long term locum tenens assignment. This isn't your typical short stint; they need someone reliable to start at the end of next year and potentially stick around for a good while.
The Role
You'd be working at the main campus, a Level II Trauma Center with an annual ED volume of about 70,000 patients. There are six ED beds. You won't be flying solo; there's no single coverage here. You'll have a team of four Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for support, and the facility uses Epic for its EMR.
The schedule is built around two shift blocks: one from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and another from 2:00 PM to midnight. No overnight shifts. They need coverage starting December 21st, 2025.
Schedule & Commitment
- For December 2025, they need someone for 8 to 12 shifts per month.
- From January through July 2026, there's potential for up to 40 shifts a month. That would typically break down to about twenty of the day shifts and twenty of the evening shifts.
- You'll need to be available for weekends and holidays during this period.
- If permanent staffing isn't finalized by July, there's a strong chance this assignment gets extended.
What You Need to Bring
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM is mandatory.
- You must have an active Ohio medical license or be eligible for one through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- A clean malpractice history and disciplinary record is required to obtain temporary privileges.
The Logistics & Support
Credentialing usually takes around 30 days. But if your paperwork is in perfect order, they can sometimes get temporary privileges sorted in as little as one week.
This is through Jobot Health. Here’s how they handle things:
- They take care of all the credentialing paperwork.
- They'll manage your travel and housing arrangements.
- You get A Rated Malpractice Insurance coverage.
- The role is flexible; this one is a longer term opportunity, but they have all sorts of assignments across different specialties.
The Details
The pay rate listed is between $100 and $1,000 per hour. The closest major airport is John Glenn Columbus International (CMH).
