About This Role

What you'll actually be doing

This is a sanitation role with Cargill's protein and salt business, where you're keeping the facility clean, safe, and food ready. You'll be working the night shift ; 4:00 pm to 12:30 am ; full time.

Day to day, you're following safety rules, keeping things hygienic, and making sure food safety standards (like HACCP and GMPs) are met. You'll use cleaning tools and supplies to get the job done, and you'll document your completed tasks on the master sanitation schedule. There might be other duties thrown in too, as needed.

Schedule and pay

Full time. Night shift runs from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. You'll make $19 per hour, plus an extra $1.00 per hour shift differential. Overtime is available on weekends, holidays, or different shifts ; they'll give you advance notice.

What you need to bring

First off, you have to be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. You also need to be at least 18 years old. This job is physical ; you'll be bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting. If you need a reasonable accommodation, they'll work with you. You'll also need to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above), and handle varied indoor and outdoor conditions like heat, cold, dust, and loud noise while wearing PPE.

Overtime is part of the deal ; weekends, holidays, or different shifts ; and they'll give you a heads up in advance.

What helps but isn't required

It's not mandatory, but they like to see previous experience in production, a food plant, or manufacturing. Food sanitation experience in manufacturing is a plus. Basic English communication (both verbal and written) is preferred too.
