Pediatric RN

Aveanna Healthcare·Fort Worth, TX

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this nursing job. I've been placing people with Aveanna for years, and I can tell you they run things differently. They're one of the biggest private duty nursing companies out there, and they've built a culture that actually gets recognized for it; they were just named one of Indeed's Top 100 Companies for Work Wellbeing in 2024.

This isn't a hospital floor. You're going into a patient's home in Fort Worth, TX. It's one on one care. The focus is on building a real connection and providing care that feels personal, not transactional. They put a tablet in every home so your documentation is electronic and straightforward.

What You'll Be Doing

You're the nurse for your patient. You'll manage their comprehensive care plan in their home environment. Think of it as being their clinical anchor; you're the consistent professional ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day.

  • Deliver skilled nursing care as outlined in the individual plan.
  • Your documentation happens right there, using the tablet provided in the home.
  • You coordinate with the local Aveanna support team, which includes operators and other clinicians available 24/7.
  • It’s about compassionate care, but also about achieving strong, measurable clinical outcomes together with the care team.

What You Need to Have

The non negotiables first. Then we can talk about the nice to haves.

  • An active, unencumbered LPN or LVN license for the state you'll be working in. If you have a compact license, you need to transfer it to your state of residence within 90 days of starting.
  • A current CPR certification that includes a hands on component. If you don't have this at hire, Aveanna can help you get it.
  • A TB skin test that's current (done within the last 12 months).
  • Reliable transportation is a must. You're commuting to your patient's home.

Now, here's what would make someone a really strong fit: six months of prior hands on nursing experience. That said, it's preferred but not an absolute requirement to apply.

The Details & What They Offer

The support structure is solid. You're not on an island; there's local clinical and operational backup anytime you need it. They also talk up career pathing; real opportunities to advance your skills if that's what you're looking for.

  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance plans are available.
  • The company provides Life Insurance.
  • You get Paid Time Off.
  • Choice on pay frequency: weekly or even daily pay is an option.
  • There’s an Employee Stock Purchase Plan where you can buy stock at a 15% discount.
  • Aveanna has an Employee Relief Fund for team members who might need extra support.
A quick note on benefits: eligibility can vary based on your employment status and where you work locally. Aveanna Healthcare encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply. As an employer that accepts Medicare and Medicaid funds, employees must comply with all health related requirements in their relevant jurisdictions. This includes required vaccinations and testing, though exemptions for medical or religious reasons are considered where appropriate. Candidates residing in California or Florida should be aware of additional state specific applicant notices.
