Nuclear Medicine Technologist
About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Nuclear Medicine Technologist spot at Methodist in Fort Worth, TX.
You'd be the one running diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. That includes things like PET scans. Your work sets everything up for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. It's technical, it matters, and you're a central part of the imaging team here, which handles everything from ultrasound and CT to interventional radiology.
The Schedule
This is a full time day shift. You're looking at 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Four ten hour days gives you a three day weekend, which is pretty nice.
What You Need to Bring
- A graduation certificate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program.
- Your current Basic Life Support certification; gotta have that.
- Active certification with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT (NM)) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- A Texas Department of State Health Services certification is required.
- We'd really like to see about a year of work experience, but it's not an absolute deal breaker if you're the right new grad.
The Day to Day Stuff
- Communication is everything here. You need to be clear, whether you're talking to a patient who's nervous or a colleague about a scan.
- Building good relationships makes the whole department run smoother. We're collaborative.
- You own your performance and the quality of your work.
- Always thinking about how to make things better for patients isn't just a slogan; it's how we operate.
- We expect you to take charge of your own professional development. We'll support it, but you have to drive it.
- Show up engaged. A team that's present and eager wins together.
About Methodist Medical Group
You'd be part of Methodist Medical Group, which is the physician organization for Methodist Health System in North Texas. It's a big network that's still growing; over 92 clinics, plus urgent care and a virtual service called MethodistNOW. Being affiliated with the main health system means you get their scale and resources behind you.
The Pay & Benefits
The salary is competitive for the area and your experience level. The benefits package is where they really shine; it's the full Methodist Health System offering:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- A retirement plan with a company match; they'll help you save for later.
- A dedicated employee wellness program.
Awards & Culture
The parent system doesn't just say it's a good place to work; it gets recognized for it. A lot. Recent awards include Newsweek’s America’s Most Admired Workplaces, Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work, Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Health Care, and Great Place to Work Certification. They're also rated as a Gold level Military Friendly Employer. The point is, there’s real support here for your career growth and your well being. The opportunities are legitimately generous.
