About This Role

The Gist of It

Cargill's protein and salt business is looking for an HVAC Technician in Fort Worth, TX. This isn't a desk job. You'll be working on a 3rd shift, keeping the facility's refrigeration and environmental equipment running. The pay range is $33.00 - $41.00 per hour, and it's a full time role.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading all Ammonia and Freon refrigeration and environmental equipment in the building.
  • Using hand tools to perform mechanical maintenance on machinery.
  • Working in a cold environment ; that comes with the territory.
  • Completing Hazmat training as needed.
  • Keeping up with food safety, quality standards, and general housekeeping.
  • Maintaining electrical and control circuits tied to refrigeration equipment.
  • Cleaning coils and other equipment.
  • Maintaining evaporative condenser units.
  • Repairing and maintaining Freon condenser and evaporator coils.
  • Repairing or replacing fan motors and fan blades.
  • Installing and repairing valves and other components in ammonia systems.
  • Using math to document system changes ; levels, pressures, things like that.
  • Using a computer for data entry.
  • Keeping the work environment safe.

What You Need to Bring

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Can read, write, and speak English.
  • 6 months of maintenance experience.
  • 1 year of industrial maintenance experience, or a technical training program that's at least 7 months long.

  • Previous HVAC experience.
  • A RETA CARO certification.
  • Previous experience working at Cargill.

The Schedule and Location

This is a 3rd shift role in Fort Worth, TX. The company won't cover relocation for this position, so plan accordingly.
