Medical City Fort Worth·Fort Worth, TX

About This Role

Hey there. I'm putting this out for a Respiratory Care Tech Extern role at Medical City Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX. It's a PRN position, which means the hours are as needed to fill in gaps. You'd be working in a 350+ bed hospital that's Magnet designated, which is a pretty big deal. They're a major referral center for the area.

What you'd be doing

You'd be joining the respiratory care team at a full service hospital. This place isn't just a community ER; it's a tertiary center with specialties in cardiac care, neurosciences, and oncology. They handle kidney transplants, orthopedics, and have a comprehensive stroke center and chest pain center accreditation. There are three ER locations in their network. You're part of that bigger HCA Healthcare system, which has its own resources and reputation.

What you need to bring

  • An Associate Degree is required.
  • You need to get your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within your first 30 days on the job.
  • The big one: you must obtain your Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC within 6 months of starting.

The environment & how to apply

The posting mentions HCA's culture; trusted colleagues, compassionate care, recognizing individual worth. They've been named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies multiple times. If this setup sounds like where you want to finish your training and launch your career, go ahead and apply.

They review applications promptly and will reach out directly to candidates they want to interview.
