About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this opening. We need someone to run the kitchen show at a surgical hospital in Fort Worth, TX. It's not about being a celebrity chef; it's about making sure everything from the ordering to the plating runs smoothly and consistently. If you're the organized type who gets a kick out of a well oiled machine, this might be your spot.
The Work
You'd be overseeing the whole food production process. That means purchasing, setting food specs, managing meal prep, service, and keeping everything up to snuff on sanitation.
- Getting new team members up to speed with training in the production areas.
- Your day involves developing standardized recipes and using production tools to hit our quality and cost targets.
- You'd also help plan and pull off special events when they come up.
What You Need to Bring
We need someone with a solid background in kitchen management. Specifically, you should have at least three years of progressive culinary management experience. A background in a long term care or healthcare setting is a big plus.
- You have to be able to organize workloads and meet deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Solid people skills are non negotiable; you'll be communicating and leading a team every day.
- You need to be comfortable with basic Microsoft software for schedules, ordering, that sort of thing.
An associate degree in culinary arts would be great, but it's not a dealbreaker if your experience speaks for itself.
The Schedule & Place
The job is full time and onsite at Fort Worth Surgical Partners in Fort Worth, TX. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday. But you should know that weekends and holidays are part of the deal when they're needed. No late night shifts though; we think that's pretty important for balance.
Pay & Benefits
The compensation range goes up to $65,000 per year, depending on what you bring to the table. You get paid weekly.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance are part of the package.
- There are voluntary UNUM plans available for accident, critical illness, or hospital indemnity coverage.
- A 401(k) plan with a company match is offered.
- You'll get commuter benefits for parking or transit.
- The benefits include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), sick time, and holiday pay for 9 designated holidays each year.
- Paid Time Off accumulates as vacation time after one year of service; until then it’s earned as sick leave only (check your state law).
- We offer tuition reimbursement because we believe in supporting your growth too!
