The Gig

This is a full time warehouse operations job with Cargill. You're on 2nd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 4pm to 12:30am or until the work is done. You'll start at $21.50 an hour with an extra $1.00 per hour as a shift differential. It's physical, it's repetitive, and it keeps the supply chain moving.

What you'll actually do

• Pull orders from the computer system for morning deliveries
• Operate a stand up reach truck forklift to put away pallets, rotate stock, and pull them out of the rack
• Use a pallet jack to load and unload trailers
• Stack cases by hand, scan them, and wrap them with stretch film
• Clean up ; empty trashcans and handle general warehouse upkeep
• Wear your Personal Protective Equipment every day: hardhat, steel toe boots, freezer suit

What you need to have

• The right to work in the U.S. that isn't based on a student visa or third party sponsored visa
• Be at least 18 years old (Cargill's rule for production facilities)
• Able to work overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays when they give you advance notice
• Able to understand and communicate in English ; both verbal and written ; so you can follow instructions safely
• Able to bend, lift up to 80 lbs., kneel, climb, crawl, and twist safely (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Able to handle indoor and outdoor conditions like heat, cold, dust, loud noise ; always in your PPE gear
• Able to operate machinery like a forklift or industrial equipment (and yes they expect you can drive stand up reach trucks)

What helps but isn't required

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic computer skills (you'll use one for picking orders)
• A current forklift certification (but even if not certified yet they train you)
• Previous time working in a production facility or plant environment
