About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this CT Tech spot at Methodist Dallas. I've been placing people here for years, and they run a serious operation. This is the flagship hospital, nearly 600 beds, with the only adult Level I Trauma Center in that part of Dallas. You're not just pushing buttons; you're in the mix with a team doing everything from ultrasound to nuclear medicine.
The Work
Your main focus is performing all imaging and clinical duties for CT. That includes special imaging techniques and assisting radiologists with interventional procedures that need CT guidance. You'll be collaborating with a full multidisciplinary team to provide imaging services across the board: CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
The schedule is three 12 hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
What You Need to Bring
You've got to have the paperwork in order. Non negotiable stuff first.
- Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Texas Department of State Health certification.
- A current Basic Life Support certification.
As for experience, one year is preferred. If you're coming up on that mark or just past it, we should talk.
How We Need You to Show Up
The tech skills are a given. How you operate day to day matters just as much here.
- Communication has to be clear and open.
- Build real relationships; it's a collaborative environment and that only works if people trust each other.
- Take accountability for your own performance.
- Always be thinking of ways to improve what the patient goes through.
- Don't wait for someone to push your professional growth; take initiative on it yourself.
- Be engaged. Be eager. It's how you build a team that wins.
