CDL Driver

Refresco Beverages US IncยทFort Worth, TX

About This Role

The Job

Refresco Beverages US Inc needs a CDL Driver in Fort Worth, TX who can handle the yard like they own it. This isn't a desk job. You're the person moving trailers around, keeping things organized, and making sure the flow of trucks doesn't turn into a mess.

You'll report to the yard and start coordinating trailer movements: spotting them at docks for loading and unloading, staging them for departure, and logging every move you make. You use SAP to track shipping and receiving data, and you communicate via email with supervisors, coordinators, production, maintenance, and management. At the end of your shift, you report the final status of every trailer.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Move, position, and spot trailers for loading, unloading, and parking across docks, staging areas, and facility grounds.
  • Monitor, prioritize, and log all trailer movements to keep the yard running efficiently. Report final status at shift end.
  • Operate yard tractors, hostlers, and other equipment. Complete pre trip and post trip inspections. Report any malfunctions, damage, or hazards immediately.
  • Follow DOT, OSHA, and all safety regulations. Always chock and secure trailers properly when parked or at docks.
  • Keep the yard clean and organized so vehicles and people can move around safely.
  • Talk with warehouse teams, drivers, and dispatch to coordinate trailer movements and respond to repositioning requests.
  • Conduct regular checks to account for and secure all trailers. Reduce yard congestion during peak times.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trailers. Handle backup logistics: fueling vehicles, cleaning, processing BOL and shipping paperwork.
  • Use SAP for shipping and receiving data.
  • Report or identify maintenance needs for yard equipment and warehouse machinery.
  • Participate in safety meetings and give input on how to improve yard operations.
  • Support compliance with FDA, USDA, GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards. Take action on any food safety or quality issues you spot.
  • Wear required PPE at all times: hairnets, beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts when operating forklifts.

What You Need

  • A valid CDL A license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 2 years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience.
  • Prior experience with a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Solid skills with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook. Comfortable navigating the internet and customer portals.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred, but not required.

Schedule & Physical Demands

This role requires a flexible schedule. Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, and holidays can all come up. Overtime is scheduled as needed. No travel is anticipated ; 0%.

You'll spend most of your time standing, walking, driving, climbing stairs or ladders, and balancing. You'll stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally ; and you'll lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds frequently. The work environment is a production plant with high truck volume. It's noisy, so hearing protection is required. Temperatures can swing from very hot to relatively cold. Expect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, and accuracy demands.
