What you’ll actually do here

You’re the person who makes sure the right materials get to the right spot ; and that spot is often a rooftop. At SRS Building Products, you’ll load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks, getting them up onto residential and commercial roofs. Some days you’ll use your hands; other days you’ll run a conveyor belt system (once you’re trained and certified on it). You’ll work alongside drivers and the rest of the crew to keep everything moving smoothly. And you’ll always be checking orders to make sure what’s on paper matches what’s on the truck.

Where you’ll be working

This job takes place at Fort Wayne, IN ; specifically at SRS Building Products. But you won’t be stuck inside. You’ll be outdoors on rooftops, in all kinds of weather. You’ll work at heights, on flat and sloped surfaces, so good balance is a must. And yeah, there’s machinery noise. You’ll wear a hard hat, safety harness, and gloves every shift.

What you’ll need to bring

• You can lift up to 100 lbs. ; regularly
• You’re comfortable working up high, on all sorts of roof surfaces
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You have reliable transportation to get to Fort Wayne, IN
• You’re authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship
• You can pass a criminal background check, a driving background check, and a pre employment drug test
• You speak and write English well enough for the job (Spanish is a plus)
• You know your way around OSHA safety rules and how to use PPE properly
• Forklift certification? That’ll help you stand out

Schedule

Monday through Friday is the norm, but expect some overtime depending on delivery schedules and peak seasons.

Pay

Base pay runs from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Where you land in that range depends on your experience, training, and education. Hourly folks can get overtime too, depending on what’s needed. There are also performance based bonuses and commissions for some roles, plus a car allowance or fuel program if you qualify.
