What you'll be doing

This is a part time Yard Associate role focusing on the irrigation yard. You'll work weekends only ; Saturdays and Sundays ; with a chance for overtime during the busy season. The regular workweek is Monday through Friday, but here you're specifically weekends.

Your main duties revolve around the yard and warehouse. You'll stock, receive, pull, and stage products. That means pulling tagged and untagged quality plant material and other product to get customer orders right. Accuracy matters, and so does the quality of what you pull.

You'll also handle, re burlap, tie, and tarp material for loading. Loading and unloading is a big part of it ; for customers, delivery vehicles, and inbound trucks. You'll assist the tractor leader when new product comes in on trucks. That includes unloading, untying, getting product on temporary irrigation, and placing it in the assigned area per the yard map, all in an organized way. You'll remove vendor tags when directed.

Other tasks include helping the Inventory Leader with plant ID Fiore labeling, keeping the area clean and free of trash, and keeping things organized per the yard map. You'll make sure your designated area is properly irrigated by the irrigation team. And you'll operate a skid steer outdoors.

You'll need to get thoroughly familiar with the products Fiore Nursery sells. You'll wear a Fiore hat, safety vest, or safety t shirt at all times, and present yourself professionally with a positive attitude. Other related duties will come up as assigned.

What you'll need

• Skid steer experience is helpful but not required
• You can lift 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful but not required
• You'll need to pass a pre employment drug test and background check

Schedule and pay

This is a weekend only role ; Saturdays and Sundays. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $22.88 per hour, starting at $20 and up depending on experience. Overtime may be available during the busy season based on business needs. You'll be paid weekly.
