Registered Nurse

Lee Health·Fort Myers, FL

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this night shift opening on the Labor and Delivery team at HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL.

This is a part time position. You'd be working nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The base pay range is $33.37 to $45.05 an hour. On top of that, there's a $6.00 per hour shift differential for the entire night shift.

What This Role Is About

You'd be joining the team at a Magnet designated facility that's also one of just 11 hospitals in Florida certified as a Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center. This unit handles high risk obstetrical care and has Level II & III NICUs, so you're supporting some of the most critical patients in the region.

The work itself covers the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. It’s about directing and coordinating care based on established clinical standards from the ANA and Florida’s Nurse Practice Act. You'll collaborate with other disciplines to make sure patient care is effective and outcomes are where they need to be.

Your practice will span five areas: clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership, and professional development. It requires using critical thinking to manage problems and differentiate what’s urgent. And you’ll integrate knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into every aspect of care.

The goal here is contributing to quality nursing care through great customer service and performance improvement. Your guide is the nursing code of ethics.

What You Need to Bring

  • You must be a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Some RN experience is required; qualified candidates will complete a competency assessment. Specific experience can vary by department (check the Nursing Addendums for details).
  • A current Florida RN license is non negotiable.
  • You need proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification, current for at least 90 days past your hire date.
  • For units requiring ACLS, that certification must also be current for a minimum of 90 days after you start.
  • Other department specific certification requirements might apply; again, those addendums have the specifics.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are required. So are basic computer skills and customer service skills.
  • A certification in your specialty area would be a plus.
