Riverside Transport

CDL-A Driver

Riverside Transport·Fort Collins, CO

About This Role

Let's talk about the job

This is a lease purchase driving position. You're running 100% no touch dry van freight, and about 60% of your loads are drop and hook. That means less time at the dock and more time moving.

The schedule is built for consistency. You get home weekly for your 34 hour reset.

What you'll be doing

  • Drive a late model truck on dedicated routes.
  • Handle no touch dry van freight with a high percentage of drop and hook work.
  • Manage your weekly schedule to include a regular home reset.
  • You can bring a rider or a pet with you; the policy allows it.

The numbers and how the lease works

Your take home pay comes from mileage, fuel surcharge, and accessorial pay. The base rate is $1.30 per mile plus fuel surcharge on all miles. Performance bonuses are baked into that rate.

Lease drivers typically see $1,400 to $1,650 in their pocket each week. Here's a sample breakdown they provided for a week with 2,400 average miles:

  • Weekly Revenue: $4,020 (Base: $3,120 + Fuel Surcharge: $840 + Accessorial: $60)
  • Weekly Expenses: $2,392 (Fuel est.: $1,217 + Truck Payment: $594 + Taxes/Insurance: $234 + Maintenance: $288 + Plates/Misc.: $59)
  • Estimated Weekly Take Home: $1,628

A quick note: your actual pay will depend on your route, where you run, your experience, and how you perform.

The lease program itself has some clear points. There's no money down to start and no credit check. It's a true walk away lease with no balloon payment at the end.

Your weekly truck payment can be as low as $534 after incentives; you can choose between fixed or per mile payments. Lease terms run from 2.3 years up to 5.5 years depending on the truck and payment plan you pick.

Trucks are 2023 2027 Freightliner and International models. A full service maintenance program runs between $0.07 and $0.14 per mile to help manage costs.

What you need to have

  • A valid Class A CDL.
  • You must be at least 22 years old.
  • A solid six months of experience within the last two years is required.
  • No participation in any substance abuse program in the past decade.
