About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's a Dietary Aide position with Healthcare Services Group at a long term care facility in Fayetteville, NC. You'd be part of the team that gets meals prepped and served to the residents. If you like work that's straightforward, keeps you moving, and has a real human connection at its core, this could be a good fit.

What You'd Be Doing

The day to day is all about the kitchen and dining area. You're not just filling plates; you're helping make sure everything runs smoothly and safely.

  • Help get food ready; think chopping veggies or putting together salads.
  • Serve meals to residents, paying close attention to their specific dietary needs and making sure portions are right.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and the dining spaces after service.
  • Stick to all the food safety and sanitation rules. This one's non negotiable.
  • A big part of the job is your interaction with people. You'll talk with residents, staff, and visitors. A friendly attitude goes a long way here.
  • And of course, there are other tasks as they come up to support the team.

What We Need From You

You don't need a culinary degree for this. We're more interested in reliability and a willingness to learn.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is nice to have, but it isn't a strict requirement.
  • Some past experience in food service or a kitchen is preferred. But if you don't have it? That's okay too; we'll train you.
  • You've got to be able to listen, follow directions, and work well with others on the shift.
  • A positive attitude matters. So does being able to communicate clearly with everyone from residents to our own managers.
  • Compliance with our COVID 19 vaccination policy is required for this role.
  • The job is physical. You should be able to lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and you'll be on your feet; standing, bending, walking; for most of your shift.
  • You'll be doing routine tasks repeatedly throughout the day. If you're okay with that rhythm, you'll do fine.
  • You'll be handling food and cleaning chemicals, so comfort working around those products is necessary.
  • Depending on local laws in Fayetteville, NC, you might need a current ServSafe or Food Handler certification when you start. If it's required by law here, we'll need you to have it or get it quickly.
  • You need to live within the service area of Fayetteville, NC.
