Vascular Sonographer

The role

This is a position for a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Essentia Health's Fargo location. You'll work as part of a team, setting up, operating, and monitoring specialized equipment for cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. You'll assist cardiologists or surgeons during catheter based procedures and device implants.

Where you'll work

Essentia Health Fargo is a 133 bed hospital with a birthing center, a 10 bed newborn intensive care unit, and a 24/7 emergency department. It's a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility connects to the Essentia Health 32nd Avenue Clinic in the heart of Fargo.

Schedule

This is a day rotation shift, starting at 7:30 am and ending at 4:00 pm. You'll work 64 hours per pay period, which is an 0.8 FTE. Weekends and on call are required.

What you need

For the Central region: you must be a graduate of a Radiology Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent program. If you're not a graduate of one of those programs, you need 4 years of direct cath lab experience.

For the West region: graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology school is required.

Licenses and certifications

Central region:

• You must be a currently registered Radiological Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or you must become RT(R) or RCIS certified within 18 months of hire or transfer
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (or within 1 month of hire)
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 6 months of hire)

West region:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 1 month of hire or transfer
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Current license issued by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRTB)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required within 24 months of hire or transfer

Pay

The compensation range is $33.94 to $50.91 per hour.
