Nuclear Medicine Technologist

What you'll actually do here

You'll perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. The goal is to deliver high quality imaging that helps physicians make accurate interpretations and supports positive patient outcomes.

You'll administer radiopharmaceuticals and keep strict radiation safety standards. That means safe, compliant, and patient centered care every time.

• Operate and monitor nuclear medicine imaging equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images
• Maintain consistent clinical performance across all scans
• Ensure precise patient positioning for every procedure
• Handle clinical documentation with accuracy
• Submit images to PACS and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems on time

Where you'll be working

This is a PRN role at Seton Medical Center in Evansville, IN. The schedule rotates.

The certifications you need to bring with you

• A BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross ; you have 30 days from your hire date or job transfer date to get it
• A Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credential from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program ; this has to be done before your hire date or job transfer date
• One of these also needs to be in hand before you start: Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), a Nuclear Cardiology Technologist certification (NMTCB NCT), or a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

The education and experience we're looking for

You can qualify one of these ways:

• A high school diploma plus 2 years of cumulative job specific experience
• An Associate's degree or technical degree
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience on its own
