What you'll do
You're in charge of the food service program at one location. That means you own quality, safety, and service.
- Lead the kitchen and dining team. Your job is to support them and make sure they hit all our standards.
- Manage the inventory, track spending, and keep records straight using our company software.
- Train your staff and run regular meetings on quality and safety. Sometimes you'll need to jump in to help cook, serve, or wash dishes.
- You're the main link between our company, the facility's management, and the residents. Clear communication is everything.
- Safety first. You'll use protective gear, handle cleaning products correctly, and report any equipment issues right away.
- Strictly follow infection control procedures, including universal precautions and handwashing protocols.
- We need someone reliable. Showing up on time and finishing tasks consistently is non negotiable.
- How you interact with everyone matters. We expect positive, professional relationships with your team, facility staff, and residents.
What you need to have
The certifications aren't just paperwork; they're your ticket in and part of how we keep things running right.
- A Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required to apply.
- An Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality is a plus. Coursework should cover restaurant or food service management.
- It’d be great if you have two years of experience supervising people in large quantity food production.
- A Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification is mandatory within your first 14 days on the job.
- You must also get your Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long Term Care Food Service (LTC FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
- You have to write clearly and speak effectively. A big part of this is keeping a good attitude while coordinating daily tasks with different groups of people.
- Candidates must comply with our COVID 19 vaccination policies.
- The work is physical: lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, bending, and walking for most of your shift.
- You’ll perform routine tasks continuously throughout the day and work around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Basic computer skills are a must for record keeping reports; some reporting is web based.
- The company may require you to complete an approved sanitation and safety course after hiring.
