About This Role
Hey there. I'm putting together the team for our surgical services at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX. We need a Certified Surgical Technologist who knows their stuff and shows up ready to be part of the unit.
What you'll do here
You'll provide patient care under the direction of the RN, following the nursing process. Your core work involves pre and intraoperative interventions across a wide range of services.
- You know sterile technique inside and out, along with the instruments and supplies needed for cases.
- Communication and teamwork on the unit aren't optional; they're how we function.
- Customer service skills matter; for patients, visitors, physicians, and your colleagues.
- Protecting patient confidentiality and respecting privacy is a given.
- All patient care activities are done in direct conjunction with the Registered Nurse.
- And you'll handle other duties as they come up.
What you need to bring
A few non negotiables for this role. Here's the list.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- You must hold either a (TS C) Tech in Surgery - Certified credential or be a (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is mandatory, but you have 30 days from your start date to obtain it if you don't already have it.
The schedule & place
This is at Las Palmas Medical Center, a 300+ bed full service hospital. It's home to our region's only kidney transplant center. We have a Level III trauma center, plus cardiac care, women’s services, a pediatric care and NICU unit, cancer care, and more. You'll be part of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare and the larger HCA Healthcare network.
