About This Role
The role
You're a Registered Nurse in the Rehab unit at Las Palmas Del Sol Rehabilitation Hospital East, part of Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX. Your voice actually matters here ; whether you're talking openly with your direct manager about patient care or sitting on hospital councils that shape decisions. You'll help influence patient outcomes and the future of nursing itself. You'll provide professional nursing care using the nursing process, and you'll work alongside physicians and other team members to deliver quality care.
What you'll need
Education
- Minimum Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN is required
Licensure and certification
- Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state
- Current BCLS certification
Experience and skills
- It's preferred you've already earned the CRRN, or you'll commit to taking and passing the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse exam within two years of working on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- You can read and write Basic English with the skills needed to transfer physician orders
- You understand body substance isolation
- You use the FIM instrument to assess a patient's functional level of independence during rehab
- You can listen, empathize, and respond to patients, families, and internal and external partners
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
