About This Role
What you'll actually do
This isn't your typical floor nurse role. You're the Transport Coordinator for the Pediatric ICU team at Las Palmas Medical Center. You oversee the daily grind of the unit and the staff ; making sure patient care stays solid and consistent. That means coordinating the team to meet patient and customer needs, running chart audits to improve documentation and cut risk, and keeping patient outcomes on an upward trend.
You'll also develop educational programs so the staff stays up to date on current nursing trends. And you'll build and maintain a quality improvement process for the unit. You'll anticipate staffing needs and adjust based on what's happening that day. Plus, you'll work directly with the Administrative Director and Director to develop and implement projects that make the unit better.
What you need to bring
- A Registered Nurse (RN) license
- An Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, or RN Diploma
- 3 years of experience ; that's the minimum
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ; you have 30 days from your start date to get it
