What you'll be doing
- You're assessing patient condition on admission and every single shift. Identifying and reporting changes in status is core to the job.
- Performing procedures and functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Documenting care administration thoroughly and in a timely way in the patient's medical record.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient response.
- Keeping your knowledge sharp on medications, procedures, and all the equipment used for cardiac and medical surgical patients.
What you need to bring
- A current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing.
- You must obtain your Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.
- You also need to get your Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within your first 30 days on the job.
The schedule & place
This is a full time position at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX. It's a full service, acute care hospital with over 300 beds and a Level II trauma designation. The facility handles everything from emergency and cardiac care to women's services, a Level III NICU, rehab, and bariatric services. You'll be part of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, which is part of HCA Healthcare.
