What You'll Do at Durham, NC
As a Housekeeper at Healthcare Services Group, you're the person who makes a long term care facility feel safe and clean for the people who live and work there. It's a straightforward job with real purpose. You'll handle the daily cleaning in resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices. You follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing everything the right way. You keep records of what you've cleaned and flag any maintenance or safety issues to your supervisor. Infection control and universal precautions are part of the routine, so you're helping keep everyone healthy. And yeah, you'll interact with residents, staff, and guests throughout the day, so being friendly and helpful matters. There's also the occasional "other duties as assigned," which is just how these jobs go.
Who We're Looking For
You need a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous housekeeping experience is nice to have, but it's not a requirement. What counts is that you can keep a positive attitude while talking to building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership. You must follow our COVID 19 vaccination policies. You also need to live within the service area. Physically, you should be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. The work involves routine, repetitive tasks done continuously, and you'll be around cleaning products. You need to follow both oral and written instructions easily.
Pay
Starting pay is $15.50 per hour.
