About This Role

What the role is

This is a Data Scientist position with a major entertainment company. The company is a household name ; live events, ticketing, digital subscriptions, you name it. But internally they operate like a startup: fast, collaborative, and heavy on innovation. You won't be stuck in a silo here. You'll work at the intersection of data, product, and business strategy, focusing on consumer analytics across ticketing and subscription offerings.

What you'll actually do

  • Build and keep up predictive models for churn, lifetime value (LTV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC) ; these models directly shape growth and retention strategies.
  • Dig into ticket sales data to spot trends, forecast demand, and help optimize pricing and promotions.
  • Generate insights on how customers behave across subscription products and one off transactions.
  • Partner with product, marketing, and analytics teams to turn business needs into data driven solutions.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests for product features, campaigns, and pricing strategies.
  • Work with data engineering to build scalable pipelines and workflows.
  • Communicate what you find to technical and non technical people alike. No jargon dumping.

What you need to have

  • 3 to 5 years in data science, analytics, or a closely related field.
  • You've built models for churn prediction, LTV, CAC ; or similar consumer facing metrics. Real experience, not just coursework.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. You can write clean code and query complex data without sweating it.
  • Hands on experience with Snowflake and AWS. You know your way around modern data platforms.
  • A solid grasp of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
  • You've worked with large, messy datasets and extracted real, actionable insights.
  • You thrive in a fast moving environment where things change quickly and people take initiative.

What would help

  • Experience in entertainment, media, ticketing, or subscription based businesses.
  • Familiarity with forecasting models and time series analysis.
  • You've used data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
  • Exposure to big data tools like Spark.

Salary and benefits

Pay range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 per year. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits. It's a fully remote position with flexible working ; no commute required, and room to make a direct impact.

Why people like working here

You're working for a brand that everyone knows, but the culture feels like a startup. That means less bureaucracy and more ownership. You'll have real influence on how the business uses data to improve customer experiences. Plus it's fully remote, so you can work from wherever works for you.
