About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this BCBA role. I've been placing folks in behavioral health for over a decade, and what stands out here isn't just the job; it's the structure they've built around it. They're serious about preventing burnout, which tells you a lot.

The Role

You'd be designing and running ABA programs for kids and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other behavioral needs. It's a full time, permanent position where you're the clinical lead on your caseload.

  • Start with functional behavior assessments and build individualized intervention plans from there.
  • Your team includes RBTs and direct care staff; training and supervising them is a core part of the job.
  • You'll track client progress meticulously, using that data to adjust treatment as you go.
  • Collaboration is key. You're working alongside other medical and healthcare pros to make sure care is comprehensive.
  • Sometimes you'll provide direct therapy yourself.
  • A big piece is guiding families; conducting parent training and offering ongoing support.
  • Keeping client records accurate and up to date is non negotiable.
  • You’re expected to stick to the BACB's professional and ethical guidelines, no shortcuts.

What You Need to Bring

They need someone who's certified and has been in the trenches for a few years. Here’s the checklist:

  • A Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or something closely related.
  • Your BCBA certification needs to be current and in good standing.
  • At least three years of hands on experience providing ABA therapy and behavior analysis services.
  • Specific experience working with individuals with ASD is required.
  • A solid, practical understanding of ABA principles and procedures is essential.
  • The gig involves constant communication with kids, families, doctors, and your team; you need to be clear and effective in those conversations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret behavioral data and make decisions based on it.
  • You should know the current research and best practices in the field; they want someone who stays informed.
  • The role carries significant responsibility involving confidential client information; you have to handle that with care.
  • A current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory before you start seeing clients.

The Practical Stuff & Perks

The salary range is $85,000 to $100,000 per year. On top of that:
