The Opportunity
Leaf Home is the largest direct to consumer provider of branded home services in the US and Canada. Over a million homeowners have trusted us with projects like the patented LeafFilter gutter protection system, and we have been named one of the fastest growing private companies by Inc. 5000. We are looking for an Assistant Event Marketing Manager to run the show in Des Moines, IA.
What You’ll Do
This is a boots on the ground role. You’ll recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of event marketers. Your mission is simple: build brand awareness and generate sales leads in your local market. You’ll source your own events ; trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, community events ; and you'll be there for setup, execution, and tear down. You’ll manage budgets, handle staffing plans, and build the event calendar for your territory. You’ll track metrics and report on ROI, and you will be expected to exceed lead quotas based on established KPIs. You’ll also work closely with local Sales Operations and Installation Managers to strengthen Leaf Home's presence in the area. Some travel within the territory is required, and you should expect evenings and weekends as the event schedule demands.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in event marketing, lead generation, or experiential marketing
- Experience with budgeting and planning, even if it's just for a single market or a handful of markets
- You've recruited, onboarded, and trained marketing and show staff
- You know the current best practices in event marketing and you bring fresh ideas
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but we'll consider an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities without dropping anything important
- You’re comfortable working evenings and weekends when events are happening
- You hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment
