About This Role
The Role
We're looking for an Estimator / Mechanical Project Coordinator to work out of our Des Moines, IA office. This is a role that sits at the intersection of numbers and planning ; you'll be the person who figures out what a project will cost before it starts, then helps make sure it stays on track once it's awarded. Our work is commercial and industrial, so you'll be dealing with real buildings, real systems, and real timelines.
What You'll Actually Do
You'll spend a good chunk of your time digging into blueprints, specifications, and proposals to figure out material, labor, and equipment estimates. You'll prepare both preliminary and detailed bid packages. When a project gets awarded, you coordinate it ; that means scheduling, resource planning, tracking costs, and handling billing. You'll also review subcontractor bids and participate in the bidding process itself.

What You Need
A bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of relevant experience. And you need to be solid with computers and database software ; Microsoft Office is required.
Work Environment
This is mostly an office based role in Des Moines, IA, but you'll make occasional site visits. You'll be sitting for extended periods and might need to lift up to 25 lbs now and then.
