The Cook Role

This is a Cook position at Addington Place of Des Moines in Des Moines, IA. You'll be working for Arvum Senior Living, a company that runs Assisted Living and Memory Care communities across 8 states. What You'll Actually Do

• Prepare hot and cold menu items. That means working the grill, the sauté station, the salad bar, and the service line.
• Make sure food is prepped, portioned, and served correctly according to the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
• Taste and adjust food to check quality and palatability.

What You Need

• Previous experience in Senior Living is preferred but not required.
• You do need experience with production methods, portion control, and food handling safety.
• Great organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• You need to pay attention to detail and how the food looks on the plate.
• Weekend availability is a must.
