About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Ultrasound Tech role at HCA HealthONE Mile High OB/GYN in Denver, CO. I've been placing people in medical imaging for over a decade, and this is one of the better structured gigs I've seen. The team there is solid, and they're looking for someone who really knows their way around a perinatal scan.
What You'd Be Doing
You're the expert eyes on some of the most detailed imaging we do. It's specialized work that directly impacts patient care plans.
- Perform and evaluate ultrasounds focused on fetal anatomy, looking for anomalies in all major organ systems; think CNS, heart, abdomen, you name it.
- Handle gynecological ultrasounds to identify issues like fibroids or endometrial changes.
- The caseload includes complicated twin and triplet scans as part of their multiple gestation service.
- You'll operate different machines; GE, Accuson, Medison, ATL; and keep your skills sharp with the latest tech.
- A big part of the job is preparing patients for various procedures: Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, external cephalic versions, and more.
- You maintain detailed logging records that include full patient medical, surgical, and obstetric history.
- Interpreting Biophysical Profiles to assess fetal well being is on you; you need to exercise independent judgement here and alert physicians to any dangerous conditions.
- It's also about diagnosing things like fetal weight disturbances based on your biometry measurements.
The Schedule & Pay
This is a full time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, daytime hours. That means no nights, no on call duty, no weekends, and no holidays. The posted hourly range is $42.14 to $63.20. They're upfront that the typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of that range. Your specific offer would factor in your skills and experience compared to others in the role.
What You Need to Bring
They need someone who can walk in with a strong foundation. Here are the specifics:
- A minimum of one year of specialty ultrasound experience is required.
- An Associate's degree in Ultrasound is required; a Bachelor's degree would be a plus.
- You must have your RDMS certification.
- Having your RDMS with an OB/GYN specialty credential is preferred; it’s a big leg up for this perinatal focus.
