About This Role
The Job
You're a Registered Nurse who takes ownership of the patient's entire experience in Radiology. At HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's in Denver, CO, this isn't just about running a scan. It's about coordinating every piece of the puzzle so the patient gets seamless, safe care. You'll oversee and direct care for every patient receiving exams in the Radiology Department, serve as the primary nurse leading the collaboration between all disciplines, and supervise assistive personnel. When something else comes up, you'll pitch in as needed.
What You'll Do Day to Day
- Manage the care of patients in the Radiology setting, from pre procedure through recovery.
- Lead communication between physicians, techs, and other team members to keep everything moving.
- Direct and oversee assistive staff while staying accountable for the quality of care each patient receives.
- Respond quickly and calmly when a patient's condition changes or an exam gets complex.
- Keep the iCARE standards front of mind: honesty, compassion, accountability, respect, and exceeding expectations.
Who You Are
You've got a solid year of acute care nursing under your belt (that's preferred, not required). You're comfortable making fast decisions and communicating clearly with patients, families, physicians, and anyone else in the mix. You can manage a team and work within one. Critical thinking isn't just a buzzword to you; it's how you handle the unexpected.
Requirements
- A current Colorado Registered Nurse license or a multistate RN license.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider).
- ACLS and PALS certifications are required within the first 3 months of hire.
- A diploma or degree from an accredited school of nursing. A BSN is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in acute care is preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The hourly wage range for this role is $36.50 to $53.25. Your actual rate will depend on your specific skills, your years of experience, and how you compare to others already in this spot. Most people get hired below the midpoint of that range.
Benefits here are pretty solid. You'll get comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage, plus behavioral health and telemedicine services. Time away includes paid time off, paid family leave, short- and long term disability, and leaves of absence. There's a 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay, based on how long you've been with the company, plus an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and flexible spending accounts. Education support comes through tuition assistance, student loan assistance, certification support, and dependent scholarships. They also offer wellbeing support with free counseling, fertility and family building benefits, adoption assistance, life insurance, and a bunch of other stuff like auto and home insurance discounts and legal counseling.
