MRI Technologist

HCA HealthONE Rose·Denver, CO

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this MRI Tech opening at HCA HealthONE Rose in Denver, CO. I've been placing people here for years. It's a solid hospital with a real reputation, especially in women's and family care. They're looking for someone who knows their stuff and genuinely cares about the work.

The Work

You'll run the MRI scanners, making sure every image is clear and useful for diagnosis. That means you're talking with patients, explaining what's about to happen, and getting them positioned correctly. It's technical, but it's also very human.

A big part of the job is using your judgment during procedures and responding to what the patient needs in the moment. You're not just pushing buttons.

  • Get patients ready and positioned for their specific type of scan.
  • Perform the procedures while monitoring patients throughout.
  • Your documentation for each study needs to be complete and accurate.
  • We need you to think critically during scans; professional discernment isn't optional here.
  • You'd help train new staff coming in and guide students during their clinical rotations.
  • Staying sharp on all the scanner tech and exam protocols is how you keep quality high.

What You Need to Bring

They need someone who's already certified and ready to go. Here’s the non negotiable list straight from them:

  • You must be currently registered as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR registry).
  • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upfront.
  • You need a current registry from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • The formal education piece: you graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • A High School diploma or GED is a must.
  • The credential itself: either (ARRT MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists.

A couple of notes on timing: if you don't have Basic Cardiac Life Support yet, you have to get it within your first 30 days on the job. And while they'd really like someone with at least one year of experience in an actual MRI Imaging Department, it's listed as preferred, not absolute hard requirement. This role doesn't require any travel.

The Schedule & Pay

The shift is days. Your schedule will be three days a week, either Monday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Friday. The hourly pay range they've provided is $33.27 to $51.00. A quick note on that number: they say that range represents what they typically hire at, and things like your specific skills and years of experience factor into where you land in it. They also mention that most new hires come in below the midpoint.

What They Offer

HCA HealthONE Rose puts together a full package. It covers health, time off, planning for later, and even help with school.

The main pieces include:
  • Medical coverage that includes prescriptions, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services. Wellbeing programs with free counseling and referral services. Paid time off programs covering vacation, family leave, plus short- and long term disability coverage. Resources for savings and retirement: a 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of your pay (depending on how long you've been there), an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, flexible spending accounts, and financial counseling. Support for continuing education through tuition assistance, help with student loans, support for certifications, scholarships for dependents, and a partnership with Galen College of Nursing. A few more notable extras: benefits for fertility treatments and family building, adoption assistance, life insurance, supplemental health plans, auto and home insurance, legal counseling, and identity theft protection. (Eligibility for all these benefits can depend on your specific location.)
