About This Role

The Job

Denver Endoscopy Center is looking for an Endoscopy Technician for our Denver, CO facility. You'll work under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse and help take care of patients during GI and endoscopy procedures. Our center has been around since 2004, we're a state certified ambulatory surgical center accredited by the AAAHC, and we handle over 500 endoscopy cases each month. We're also part of HCA Healthcare, one of the largest networks of outpatient surgery centers in the country.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Keep a sanitary environment for every patient
  • Use your knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization for endoscopy equipment
  • Prepare the endoscopy unit and make sure all the GI equipment and supplies are ready to go
  • Clean GI treatment rooms between cases and set them up for whatever is coming next
  • Help maintain, care for, and label specimens
  • Identify specimens with the surgeon and pass them to the circulating RN

What You Need to Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is preferred but not required
  • One year of experience as a GI Tech, PCT, MA, or EMT ; ideally in an ambulatory surgery center
  • A valid BCLS certification before you start. Online certifications don't count here

Pay and Bonus

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.48 to $27.00. Your actual pay depends on your specific skills, how many years you've been doing this, and how your experience compares to others already in the role. Most people hired for this job come in below the midpoint of that range. There's also a $5,000 sign on bonus for eligible candidates.
