What you'll actually be doing
You'll report to the Plant Finance Manager and perform analyses and reporting for a specific financial area. This isn't a one note job. The work covers business partnering, analytics, AOP and strategic plan work, monthly forecasting, metrics and scorecards, and period close. You'll get support, but you're expected to own your piece.
- Serve as a business partner for a specified function on accounting and finance questions. That means assessing needs, spotting risks and opportunities in a timely way, and clearly communicating issues and results.
- Help prepare and compile the annual operating plan and strategic plan for your piece of the P&L and related balance sheet accounts.
- Update the monthly forecast for your assigned function based on business changes. When you do, tell your business partners what changed, why, and what the potential risks are ; with specific, actionable commentary.
- Participate in month end and quarter end close activities. You'll make sure assigned tasks get done, including finding and resolving unusual items quickly.
- Build financial analysis and models for requests depending on your function ; could be product development, customer analysis, competitive analysis, or pricing.
- Take on project work that rotates across several financial disciplines: FP&A, new product development, manufacturing investments, and in market investments.
- Lead development of metrics, scorecards, and reporting for your function. Then evaluate and deliver them on a periodic basis.
- Provide FP&A support as needed.
- Participate in various finance wide projects. The projects change depending on business needs.
What you need to bring
This role is for someone with at least 1 year of professional business and financial experience. You'll need a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ; that's required. Here's the rest:
- Experience managing a P&L, plus knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and so on).
- Experience thinking critically ; using analytics, benchmarks, and insights to create real strategies and solutions.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
Schedule and location
This is an on site role in Denver, CO. You'll be in the office 5 days a week. There's no remote or hybrid option here.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $59,000 to $78,000 per year. Your actual salary will depend on location, your relevant experience and skill set, and internal equity among Conagra employees. Conagra follows applicable law for minimum salaries for exempt employees.
