The Work

You'll be delivering care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This isn't your standard floor nursing; it requires specialized skills. You'll be scrubbing in for procedures, monitoring patients, and circulating in the lab.

Your approach to care has to be tailored; it's based on criteria that are age appropriate and consider each patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs. You'll perform all duties within the scope of practice and the specific philosophy of Rose Medical Center.

There's a lab testing component to this role as well. You'll perform assigned tests based on specific protocols, document the results, and communicate any critical findings as defined. Following safety guidelines, completing maintenance and quality control documentation, and handling proficiency testing are all part of it. You need to follow "good lab practice" and initiate corrective action when test systems or results have issues.

A couple more things to note: you may be asked to float to other service areas outside your primary assignment (but you'd only perform duties you're competent in). And if you're performing non waived lab testing, you must have your educational records; like a diploma or transcript; on file.

What You Need to Bring

• A current Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a current active multistate RN license.
• Your BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A diploma from an accredited school of Nursing. A BSN is desirable but not a strict requirement.
• You should be able to clearly articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.
• Two years of relevant experience is required for this position.
• And again; prior cardiac rehab experience is required for this PRN role.

The Pay & The Perks

The hourly wage range for this role is $36.50 to $53.25 per hour. Just so we're transparent: that displayed estimate is the typical range for hired candidates.
