Sandwich / Salad Maker

Hey there. I'm putting this post together for a spot on the food service team at a Pilot Flying J in Dayton, OH. It's for making sandwiches and salads, keeping things moving, and helping out guests. If you like staying busy and doing good work, read on.

What you'd be doing

Your main focus is getting people good food, fast. You're the one making sure the line keeps moving without sacrificing how things taste or look.

• Make our Subway sandwiches and salads to standard, focusing on quality and freshness.
• Keep your station stocked; manage and prep food safely.
• Handle cash register transactions accurately.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant area.
• The goal is simple: provide guests with fast, friendly, and clean service every time they come in.

What we need from you

We can teach you the specifics of the menu. What we need you to bring is a certain mindset and a few basic skills.

• A real focus on taking care of guests. This isn't just a phrase; it's how we operate.
• The ability to handle sales transactions correctly.
• You need to be comfortable managing and prepping food in a clean, safe manner.
• A willingness to follow established processes for food preparation and safety.
• Basic comfort using computers, telephones, and other restaurant equipment as needed.
• The role requires working as part of a team. You don't have to go it alone, but you do have to pull your weight with everyone else.

The nice to haves

These aren't deal breakers, but they help.

• Experience in a similar food service or customer service role is preferred.
• A flexible schedule that can include nights, days, weekends, and holidays is a big plus. We're open most of them.

The details & what you get

Pay: The rate for this position starts between $11.60 - $15.70 per hour.Schedule: This is an hourly position with various shifts available.Candidates: Military experience is encouraged and valued here.
