About This Role

Physical Therapist

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's at The Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio in Dayton, OH, which is a joint venture between Premier Health and Encompass Health. I'm looking for a Physical Therapist who actually wants to see their patients get better.

This isn't about moving bodies through a system. You're providing direct inpatient care. That means you'll be doing the assessments, building the treatment plans, and supervising the course of therapy. You've got to be the kind of person who listens; really listens; to what your patients are telling you, not just about their physical pain but about how they're feeling overall. Their progress is the point, and we want you to have the time to be a real part of that journey.

The Work

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • You’re providing direct inpatient care to patients who need physical therapy.
  • Leading patient assessments and creating personalized care plans is on you.
  • Supervising treatments and addressing patient concerns is a core part of the day.
  • A big part of this is building relationships. Understanding the physical, mental, and emotional needs of your patients isn't extra credit; it's how you help them recover.
  • And we celebrate the wins, big and small.

What You Need

The must haves are pretty straightforward.

  • You need current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
  • A CPR certification is required.
  • For education, a Master's Degree is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree with enough solid experience in the field will also work.

The Details & Benefits

This is a full time position with Encompass Health. They run over 150 places nationwide, so there's some stability there. Their benefits start on your first day, which is nice. Here’s how they break it down:

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans that are affordable for full time and part time employees and their families.
  • Paid time off that builds up as you're here.
  • They'll help with tuition reimbursement and continuing education.
  • There's a 401(k) with a company match and an employee stock purchase plan.
  • You can set up flexible spending or health savings accounts if that makes sense for you.

The Vibe

The gyms are well equipped with good tech. The place has been recognized on some "best of" lists, which they're proud of, but more importantly, they talk about collaboration and career growth from within. They use words like empathy and doing what's right. Basically, they want it to feel like a place where you can do good work without unnecessary drama.

Candidates must meet all requirements to receive consideration.
