The Work
You're the expert behind the screen in this highly technical role. The core of the job is providing diagnostic patient care using ultrasound. You'll perform routine exams, vascular studies, interventional procedures, and other non invasive techniques.
This isn't a solo gig; you're part of a bigger multidisciplinary imaging team. Together, you all deliver services across ultrasound, CT, PET scans, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The goal is straightforward: provide the best possible imaging services.
What You Need to Bring
- A diploma from an approved Diagnostic Ultrasound Program.
- At least one year of hands on experience as a sonographer.
- Your current Basic Life Support certification.
- The right credentials: you must be registered as an RDMS in Abdomen or OB/GYN, or hold an ARRT (S) certification.
- You also need a vascular credential. That's either RVT from ARDMS, VS from ARRT, or RVS/RCVT from CCI.
- Beyond the paperwork, we need you to have proven clinical skills. You should be competent in performing abdomen, obstetric, gynecologic, or vascular procedures.
The Environment & The Perks
You'd be at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. It's the flagship hospital for the system; a 595 bed acute care teaching hospital with a serious reputation. They're home to the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas and the area's only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. There's also a newly renovated breast center and a Level III Neonatal ICU. Transplant programs for liver, kidney, and pancreas are here too.
